Market questions, answered.
Short answers about multi-language publishing.
Which language should I start with?
The one where your genre already has readers and you have the most signals — asks from readers, comparable titles selling, or an existing audience. One well-reviewed edition in the right market beats spreading thin across five.
How much does a second-language edition cost?
Books are priced by page, not by language: Essential is $0.02 per page and Editorial is $0.04 per page, so a 200-page book costs $4–$8 in any of the languages we translate.
Do I need separate covers and metadata?
Yes — each language publishes as its own title with its own cover, description, keywords, and price. The translation is a new book on the storefront, which is also your opportunity to re-position it for that market.
Can I see samples before committing to a language?
Each language has its own landing page describing how the translation handles that market, and the per-page price is identical across languages — so you can plan a multi-language rollout with real numbers.
